Cumulus Media’s New Country 96.3 and 99.5 The Wolf Join Forces for 11th Annual Cook Children’s Radiothon, Raising Over $1,327,708 for Cook Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Fort Worth
Cumulus Dallas/Fort Worth’s Country Stations Have Raised a Total of $5,785,000 for Cook Children’s Over Multi-Year Annual Radiothon
FORT WORTH, TX – December 12, 2024 – Cumulus Media announces that its Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Country stations, New Country 96.3 (KSCS-FM) and 99.5 The Wolf (KPLX-FM) joined together to present the Cook Children’s Radiothon, an annual two-day on-air fundraiser for Cook Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital in Fort Worth. On Thursday, December 5th and Friday, December 6th, on-air talent from both stations shared their microphones and simulcast the 26-hour live broadcast from Cook Children’s, raising $1,327,708.92in charitable donations from the stations’ generous listeners and community partners.
Throughout the broadcast, the stations conducted on-air interviews with patients and staff at Cook Children’s, while local television news personalities including Marc Ishtook (WFAA), Shannon Murray (Fox 4), Madison Sawyer (CBS 11), Doug Dunbar (CBS 11), Deborah Ferguson (NBC 5), and Karen Borta (CBS 11) were also invited on-air to join the fundraising effort. The stations also used their robust social media platforms to drive additional donations by live streaming the entire two-day broadcast on the stations’ Facebook pages.
2024 marks the eleventh Cook Children’s Radiothon broadcast for KSCS-FM and the fourth Cook Children’s Radiothon broadcast for KPLX-FM. Cumulus Media Dallas/Fort Worth has raised more than $5,785,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital during their eleven-year partnership.
Money raised through the Cook Children’s Radiothon will be used to fund the areas where the need is greatest at Cook Children’s. This includes, but is not limited to, the daily care of patients and their families, enhancement of programs, and investing in innovative equipment that is updated with the latest advances in medicine and technology.
