WVLK and Partners Including The Pharmacy Shop, Isaiah House, Scott County Sheriff’s Office and U.K. College of Medicine, Department of Behavioral Science Bring Awareness, Hope and Help in Nine-Hour Special Program Shedding Light on the Opioid Crisis
LEXINGTON, KY, November 13, 2019 – Cumulus Media announces that Lexington, KY, News/Talk radio station WVLK (97.3FM/590 AM) will air a nine-hour broadcast dedicated to confronting the opioid crisis and how it impacts Central Kentucky and the Commonwealth. WVLK’s broadcast, entitled “Enough: Opioid Awareness Day”, will air today, Wednesday, November 13, from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
WVLK has partnered with Lexington city government, local organizations and businesses to share with WVLK listeners the personal stories of addiction and recovery, city and state programs designed to help, the physical and physiological effects that lead to addiction, and alternatives to pain medications. WVLK will also provide resources for those struggling or those who know someone who is.
