Honor in Radio or Audio Spot News Reporting Category for “New York City Protests” 

  
New York, NY – May 21, 2021 – Cumulus Media’s Westwood One won a prestigious Deadline Club Award in the Radio or Audio Spot News Reporting category for “New York City Protests”, reported by correspondent Steve Kastenbaum. The story aired as part of America in the Morning’s extensive reporting on the unrest in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd. 

In announcing the award to Westwood One, the judges noted, “Steve Kastenbaum’s reporting on the civil rights protests in New York City over this past summer demonstrated strong, as well as balanced, reporting.
