Cumulus Media announces that Atlanta Top 40 radio station Q99.7 (WWWQ-FM) will debut two new live and local shows on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. The first, Charged Up, featuring popular Atlanta club and event DJ and on-air personality Yvonne Monet, airs Monday through Friday from 11:00am-3:00pm EST, followed by a new Afternoon Drive program, Atlanta’s Vibe, featuring station favorites Jade and Moe, airing weekdays from 3:00pm-7:00pm EST.

Cumulus Media announces that it has launched 98.1 The Phantom (KTLT-FM), a new Rock radio station for Abilene, TX’s Rock music fans. Previously programmed as a Sports Talk station, 98.1 The Phantom debuted on Friday, January 15th, and fittingly, kicked off at midnight with Metallica’s cover of Bob Seger’s “Turn the Page”. KTLT-FM’s new name, “The Phantom”, is a tribute to local landmark Fort Phantom Hill Lake.

News Talk 820AM WBAP held the 42nd Annual Christmas is for Caring Radiothon from December 7-11, 2020, benefiting the Denton State Supported Living Center. In total, this year’s event raised $225,000 and counting. The funds go towards buying Christmas gifts for the 500 residents at the Denton State Supported Living Center.
